Married since 1978\, they have three daughters. A graduate of Coronado High School (Class of 1977)\, Wade earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1982. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Licensed Personal Financial Planner.\n\nWade spent his entire career with Bolinger\, Segars\, Gilbert and Moss\, LLP one of the top 400 accounting firms in the U.S. retiring as a partner in 2019. His work focused on auditing financial statements for rural utilities\, with an emphasis on telecommunications and broadband providers. He frequently spoke at industry training seminars for CFOs.\n\nBeyond his professional career\, Wade is a licensed private pilot\, classical guitarist\, and former triathlete. From 1998 to 2018\, he competed in over 70 triathlons\, including eight full Ironman races and the 2004 Ironman World Championship in Kona.\n\nIn 2025\, he published his debut book\, Dare to Dream\, Scary Fast: The Road to Kona.
