Learn more about the significance of the blue ribbon here: https://pafsa.org/history-of-the-blue-ribbon/\n\n  The Reality:\n\n  Lubbock County is one of Texas' "hot spots" for child abuse and neglect\n\n  Over the past decade\, nearly 10\,000 children have been confirmed victims of abuse & neglect\n\n  22 children have lost their lives to abuse in our community\n\n  In 2023\, Lubbock's child abuse rate was 9.4 victims per 1\,000 children far above the state average of 7.4\n\n  Wear blue. Spread awareness. Take action. Our children's safety is the most urgent issue we face as a community. Let's stand together and make a difference!
