About Us

Matt Vance and his wife, JoBeth, are proud Texas Tech alumni who returned to Lubbock, Texas, to raise their family and build their business in the community they love. They are raising their two sons with the same strong West Texas values that shaped their own lives. After earning his MBA in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Matt felt called back to West Texas, where he founded Matt Vance Homes with a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and homes built to stand the test of time.

Matt is an active leader in the homebuilding industry. He has served multiple years on the West Texas Home Builders Association (WTHBA) Board of Directors and as a Texas Association of Builders (TAB) voting delegate. He currently serves as Treasurer on the WTHBA Executive Board and on the TAB Finance Committee. His leadership has earned him the “Rising Star” Award, and he served as the 2025 Parade of Homes Chairman while also building two Parade homes. He is also co-owner of Platinum Homes with Robert Wood and a REALTOR® with the Stacey Rogers Group at Keller Williams Realty in Lubbock, Texas.

Matt’s passion for construction began early while working alongside his father as an electrician, giving him a strong foundation in building from the ground up. Today he guides each project from concept to completion, helping clients bring their vision to life while maintaining uncompromising standards of quality and craftsmanship. He is supported by designer Ellen Wallace, who collaborates with Matt to develop innovative designs and refined selections that elevate every home.
